Rushing to learn foreign languages to get good jobs
The majority of trainees at foreign language centres are those who
have stable jobs already. They need to learn one foreign language at
least to get a promotion.
Advertisement pieces about job vacancies always say that candidates
with foreign language skills are preferred. Fluency in a foreign
language is a compulsory requirement for those who apply for
securities or website design companies.
Phan Thi Thu Huong, Deputy Director General of Thien Long Company,
said that employers always consider foreign language skills as the
first requirement to short-list candidates.
