Arabic surges to No. 10 in language enrollment
For the first time, Arabic has made it into the list of the top 10
most-studied languages at U.S. colleges and universities, according to
a survey by the Modern Language Association of America.
Interest in Asian languages is also growing at a fast rate, with
Chinese study up 50% since the previous survey, conducted in 2002.
