Nigeria: Abia Traditional Rulers Storm Senate Over Planned Closure of
Language Institute



Abuja-Traditional rulers from Abia State yesterday stormed the Senate
alleging a plot of marginalization against the South-East through the
forceful abrogation of the National Institute for Nigerian Languages
(NINLAN) Aba.



The school which they said was established alongside the Nigerian
Arabic Language Village, Ngala, Borno State and the Nigerian French
Language, Badagry Lagos, had been singled out for proscription despite
its cultural values to the Nigerian nation.
