Staff Reporter

Bangalore: The recognition for 191 schools coming under Yelahanka and
Malleswaram zones in Bangalore North have been withdrawn after it was
found that they had violated the State Language Policy, according to a
press release.

The release said that the Block Education Officers of Bangalore North Zone
1 and Zone 4 (Yelahanka and Malleswaram) have identified schools
functioning in violation of the State Language Policy.

It said that in the Yelahanka zone, 87 schools have been identified while
in the Malleswaram zone, 104 schools have been identified.

Parents have been advised not to admit their wards in these schools, for
which recognition has been withdrawn, for the 2008-09 academic year.
