Position as post-doctoral research fellowship (SKO/post code 1352) in
sociolinguistics or related field is available at the Department of
Linguistics and Scandinavian Studies, University of Oslo. (SKO 1352). More

The post-doctoral research fellowship is for a period of 3 years and will
be attached to the project 'Standardising Minority Languages'. The aim of
the project is to carry out in-depth analyses of the standardisation of
European Regional or Minority Languages, expanding the focus from
macro-level processes and linguistic aspects of standardisation to include
investigations of how users relate to standardisation processes.
The successful applicant is expected to investigate the standardisation
processes related to a minority language protected by the European Charter
for Regional or Minority Languages. Applicants are expected to present a
research project closely linked to the main project; a project description

The main purpose of post-doctoral research fellowships is to qualify
researchers for work in top academic positions within their disciplines.
Applicants must hold a degree equivalent to a Norwegian doctoral degree in
an academic area which is relevant to the proposed project.
Applicants must submit a project description, including a schedule of
activities. It is to be assumed that the project will be completed within
the 3-year period. The appointee will be expected to engage with existing
research groups in the Faculty of Humanities and to contribute to the
further development of the scholarly community.
We are looking for strongly motivated and competent candidates, with high
academic qualifications in the relevant area of research.
