LANGUAGE POLICY PROPOSAL AS REQUIRED BY SECTION 63 OF THE
NATIONAL CREDIT ACT NUMBER 34 OF 2005

Quotes and Cost of Credit:

DirectAxis will produce the Quotes and Cost of Credit documentation
pertaining to Personal Loans in five official languages namely English,
Afrikaans, Zulu, Sotho and Xhosa.

The five languages to be implemented in phases, as follows:
Phase 1: Quotes/ Cost of Credit in English
Phase 2: Quotes/ Cost of Credit in Afrikaans
Phase 3: Quote/ Cost of Credit in Zulu, Sotho, and Xhosa
• Phases 1, 2 and 3 are complete and all of the documents required by the
NCA are in place.

Pre-agreement Statement

DirectAxis will produce the Pre-agreement Statement to its Small,
Intermediate and Large agreements in two official languages namely
English and Afrikaans.

. Plain language explanations of the Pre-agreement Statement will be made
available for selection by consumers (but not to translate the actual terms
and conditions of the Pre-agreement Statement) in Zulu, Sotho and
Xhosa, and to be implemented as follows:
Phase 1: English documentation
Phase 2: Full translation into Afrikaans
Phase 3: Explanatory notes on the English version of the Pre-agreement
Statement in Zulu, Sotho and Xhosa
• Phases 1, 2 and 3 are complete and all of the documents required by the
NCA are in place.

Enforcement Notices

DirectAxis will produce enforcement notices and other letters that are
required under the Act in 5 languages, implemented in phases, as follows:
Phase 1: Enforcement Notices and letters in English
Phase 2: Enforcement Notices and letters in Afrikaans
Phase 3: Enforcement Notices and letters in Zulu
Phase 4: Enforcement Notices and letters in Sotho
Phase 5: Enforcement Notices and letters in Xhosa
• Phases 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 are complete and all of the documents required by
the NCA are in place.
