State needs clear policy on regional language: Experts
TNN Jun 11, 2012, 11.15AM IST
MANGALORE: According to educationists and academicians lack of a clear
education policy in the state is working as a catalyst in the growth
of English medium schools.
They said that a common language policy by both the state and centre
would help rid of the anomaly in which regional languages were given
step-motherly treatment. They were reacting to Kannada author D Javare
Gowda's observation that government was keen to promote English medium
schools.
