National Languages and social integration Ministry has decided to implement
a 5 year scheme to impose a National Language policy.

Its minister Vasudewa Nanayakkara said that the objective of the scheme is
to create a bilingual social environment.

He further stated that the scheme will be put to task by the National
Language commission and will be making a huge impact on both public and
private sector to use both languages effectively and correctly.

It has been planned to select Govt and private institutions separately and
then implement the National Language policy step by step on them while
identifying the necessities and weaknesses endemic to the institutions.
