The International Conference of Under-Resourced Languages (also known as FASSBL)

The conference will take place in Dubrovnik as a co-event to the late Summer School Methodologies for the linguist of the future (October 6-10, 2013).

Invited Speakers:

Ianthi Maria Tsimpli, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki/Reading University
Terje Lohndal, Norwegian University of Science & Technology 

Call for Papers:

We invite talks reporting both original theoretical and experimental work on:

- Language resources (including NLP techniques for setting up and using existing language resources/tools and linguistic research infrastructures)
- Formal approaches to grammar 
- Experimental work on language and cognition
- Language acquisition, including bilingualism
- Language processing
- Language in clinical populations

The focus is on under-resourced and understudied languages in Europe (e.g. South-Slavic and Balkan languages); however, work of theoretical significance based on data from better known languages will also be considered.

Please send your abstracts (approximately 300 words) by September 15, 2013 at the following address:  valentin.vulchanov at ntnu.no. Notification of acceptance will be sent within a week after the submission deadline.
