    HYDERABAD: Public sector industries make sincere efforts to promote our
national language Hindi, V Uday Bhaskar, chairman and managing director of
Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) has said. He appreciated the efforts by
several PSUs which are implementing the official language policy
effectively in their offices.

He was addressing the representatives of several PSUs at the 41st
half-yearly meeting of Town Official Language Implementation Committee
(TOLIC) here on Friday. Uday Kumar, the chief of a public sector defence
manufacturing major, BDL, also said that the TOLIC should evolve innovative
methods for promoting the official language. TOLIC is an initiative by the
Central government to encourage public sector units to use official
language in governance and communication.

The TOLIC meeting on Friday was organised by the public sector oil company,
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) .

During the meeting, P Vijay Kumar, deputy director, implementation of
official language, reviewed the activities of official language work in
PSUs. Representatives of several PSUs also released the TOLIC’s magazine
PATHIK.

Around 200 senior executives from 50 PSUs in Hyderabad attended the
programme. M Narayana Rao, CMD, MIDHANI, Ravinder Singh, Director
Personnel, NMDC and Homnidhi Sharma, TOLIC member-secretary, BDL senior
manager were among those who attended the function, according to a press
release.
