Candidates from language policy and planning, political and social 
sciences and sociolinguistics are sought to explore, from a comparative 
perspective, the organisational and ideological challenges involved in 
establishing and managing a bilingual public service. The PhD includes a 
training period of at least six months on the practice of language 
policy to be carried out at the Regional Agency for the Friulian 
Language (Udine, Italy). Submission deadline: Friday 27 February 2026.
