Sociolinguist (KTP Associate)
SCHOOL OF ANTHROPOLOGY
Grade 7: Salary £29,099 p.a.
As a result of funding from the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP)
Directorate and Aurix Limited an exciting position for a Sociolinguist
(KTP Associate) is now available. The successful candidate will be based
at Aurix Limited, Malvern, Worcestershire for the two-year project,
which will involve providing the company with knowledge and expertise in
aspects of sociolinguistics and conversational analysis, in order to
generate new audio mining products and patents.
Candidates will need a PhD in linguistics, computational linguistics,
sociolinguistics or sociology (conversation analysis) and previous
experience of undertaking research on linguistic data. Candidates will
need the ability to manage large data sets and have good time-management
skills.
This is a full-time position which is fixed-term for two years.
