Dear ling anthers,
I wanted to let you all know about a linguistically-oriented AAA panel happening tomorrow morning that was unfortunately left out of the hardcopy conference program (though it does appear in the online version). Hopefully some of you will find the topic of interest!
The panel is entitled "Voices in Movement: Phonetic Border Crossings" and features research that blends sociophonetic and anthropological methods and theories as a means of exploring vocal boundaries and crossings.
You can catch the panel from 8:00-9:45am on Saturday, 11/17 in Union Square 8.
