Hi all,

This is just a friendly reminder that all registration payments and proposals need to be submitted by this Friday at 5pm East Coast time. Please check out the email from AAA below that has links and useful information - particularly if you are having any trouble with the new system. (I have no special insight into this, nor do I get a faster/more direct line to AAA.)

Note that you can and should enter the system now and get everything started - even if you need to tweak abstracts and make changes later in the week (up until when the system closes).

One Week Left to Submit Your AAA Annual Meeting Proposals!

To increase your submission success and decrease your submission stress,
we hope you have been following our suggested proposal preparation timeline<http://send.americananthro.org/link.cfm?r=G_smHjXZqKA7gauy5NZEPg~~&pe=ULmqSEniktg-r7b_KLN8XyVHyuyJyPUMoN_zxNxciD9ClhB1KKWGJTaZL65HIr0vxt1LDPJce3rgc6QRpcl10w~~>.

If so, you have already

  *   finalized your title, abstract, session order, and proposal submission
  *   contacted presenters to complete outstanding assignments. Remember, you nor AAA staff are able to complete tasks on behalf of another presenter!

>From this point forward, you should periodically log into your submission to make sure you and your presenters are tackling your respective tasks and assignments. You will not be able to make edits after 5 pm EDT on April 14th.

Need Help?

We have a new system this year, so we recommend logging in ASAP to familiarize yourself with the process. Please contact AAA with any technical issues you may have. We do our best  to ensure all calls and emails are responded to within 2 business days. All calls will be returned in the order they are received. The most efficient way to contact us is to send a detailed description of the issue (including screen shots if possible) directly to our meetings team at  aaameetings at americananthro.org<mailto:aaameetings at americananthro.org?subject=Call%20for%20Papers%20Assistance>.  While we will do our best, AAA is unable to guarantee that questions received within 2 days of the deadline will be returned in time. Please plan to submit your proposal accordingly as we will not accept any incomplete submissions after the stated deadline.

Additional Helpful Hints:

  1.  When navigating the submission portal, use the "Notify Presenters" task to nudge presenters collectively or individually to complete outstanding tasks.
You nor AAA can complete tasks on your presenters' behalf, and presenters must use the link generated from the "Notify Presenters" task to access your submission to complete their portion. The email will come from support at ConferenceAbstracts.com. Be sure to check junk/spam folders!

  2.  Registering for the Annual Meeting is done through your AnthroGateway account, not the online submission portal.
