[Linganth] study abroad in Costa Rica

Dear all,

 

I am writing to advertise a linguistic anthropology/ global health study abroad program I will be offering through Georgia State University from May 5-25, 2018, in Costa Rica, “Communication, Culture, and Global Health Challenges: Lessons from Costa Rica.” Please share widely. Students from other universities are welcome to apply, and for those not able to appear in person for the orientation, we can make alternative arrangements! The program is focused on health, culture, and inequality in indigenous Ngöbe-Bugle communities in the southern Costa Rican highlands, and is offered in collaboration with the Interamerican Center for Global Health, El Centro Interamericano Para La Salud Global http://cisgcr.org . While all may apply, this program is designed for advanced undergraduates and graduate students seeking to establish initial research contact in preparation for future fieldwork (either immediately following the program or in years to come).
