Apologies for the cross-posting. We are currently looking for a linguists
to join our program. While the specialty area is open, we are particularly
interested in those who can relate their work directly to minority language
communities and/or second language acquisition. We are particularly
interested in those who have worked in minority language communities and
have engaged in language documentation and conservation and/or whose
expertise is related to Applied Linguistics and/or TESOL. The call can be

The English and Linguistics Department at Purdue Fort Wayne invites
applications for a tenure-track position specializing in TESOL/applied
linguistics at the rank of Assistant Professor. This position will require
teaching of courses in the TENL (Teaching English as a New Language)
Certificate program with an emphasis on TESOL pedagogy and sociolinguistics
for the certificate/licensure program and our Linguistics program. Courses
of instruction include (but are not limited to) undergraduate and
graduate-level Sociolinguistics, Second Language Acquisition, and
introductory courses in linguistics for majors and minors as well as for
general education.
This position is contingent on funding.
*Required qualifications:*
Ph.D. in Linguistics/General Linguistics with TESOL emphasis
EMPLOYMENT IS CONTINGENT ON A SATISFACTORY BACKGROUND RECORDS CHECK.
*Preferred qualifications:*
While the specialty area is open, we are particularly interested in those
