Hi all,

Below are a couple of important announcements concerning AAA submissions for the Annual Meeting this year. Please read this entire message, and save it for future reference!

First, the deadline for Executive Session Proposals has been extended to March 15th. Paper panel or Roundtable proposal submitted for Executive Session consideration must speak to this year's theme of "Praxis". Additional details about the submission process for Executive Sessions can be found in the link below.

The second is a series of changes made by AAA regarding panel length, dates, and submission options. Please note the following changes while organizing your panel, and planning your travel to Tampa for the Annual Meeting:

Shorter Session Times: This year, sessions have been reduced to 90-minute session blocks (1 hour and 30-minute blocks). This is a change from previous years, where session slots were given 105-minute blocks (1 hour and 45-minute blocks). Panel/roundtable organizers- please note this shorter time-block when constructing your panel of presenters.

Schedule Shift- Panels and presentations for the Annual Meeting this year will begin on Wednesday November 20th. The final day of presentations and panels will be Saturday November 23rd. There will be no panels scheduled for the morning of Sunday November 24th like in the past. Please note this change when planning travel to Tampa.

No Individually Volunteered Papers Option- This year, there will be no Individually Volunteered Paper option. AAA is strongly encouraging fully formed panels and roundtables. If you are unable to create or join a panel/roundtable, your alternative presentation options include a Flash presentation (in-person), a Poster presentation (in-person), or a Talk presentation (pre-recorded and can be viewed on the virtual platform). Additional Events of Note: Tuesday November 19th, the first day of registration, AAA will host a welcome reception starting at 6pm. There are also two special sessions for posters that do not conflict with any other session scheduled for the Thursday evening (6pm- Happy Hour!) and Friday morning (8:30 am- morning coffee hour!) of the conference week. AAA plans to use these dedicated times for poster-presentations to encourage more poster submissions. Finally, on Saturday November 23rd there will be a community event for the final day of the conference. A tentative schedule of the Annual Meeting is below

Concurrent Sessions start at 10:15am, and continue throughout the day

Distinguished Lecturer begins at 6pm

Concurrent Sessions start at 8:30am, and continue throughout the day
