Dear participants,
The Program Committee is pleased to share our final draft schedule for the 2025 Society for Linguistic Anthropology Biennial Conference. You can view the draft program here<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_Lr1IKtEKHvZzVOvxk3tGDxWeLD36LyMu1mYdom0154/edit?usp=sharing>. We may continue to make modifications to the program between now and May, but changes made from this point onward will be minor.
While we work on adding this information to the conference website, please see below for some important reminders. If you are organizing a group session, please share the schedule and reminders with your session’s participants.
REGISTRATION, HOTELS & SLA MEMBERSHIP
Please register today<https://my.americananthro.org/nc__event?id=a0lUO000002LeanYAC>! Early bird registration has been extended to April 7, so we encourage you to register<https://my.americananthro.org/nc__event?id=a0lUO000002LeanYAC> and book your room<https://www.2025slaconference.org/housing> as soon as possible to ensure you secure your spot at the lowest rates. Please be sure to encourage your session’s participants to do the same.
Now is also a great time to join the SLA or renew your membership<https://my.americananthro.org/joinrenew>. Doing so gives you discounts on conference registration rates, but beyond this, your membership contributes to the SLA’s ability to host future conferences and support online events and other initiatives.
SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER
In order to both distribute on-the-ground conference labor and to promote sociality and conviviality between all conference participants, we are asking all registrants to sign up for one hour of volunteer time during the conference. Please complete this virtual sign-up sheet<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdNr5qWRdq4i_Wq7-dBvFYIrHLFLdGJXClC8jP3D3ob1_Smhg/viewform?usp=header> as soon as possible and share the form with your session’s participants, if you’re organizing a group session.
STUDENT HOUSING SWAP
To ensure greater financial accessibility for our student members, we have set up a Student Housing Cooperative where Chicago residents can offer space to other conference attendees traveling from elsewhere. Students can also indicate their interest in joining the housing cooperative. Students who provide housing for another conference attendee will have the option to receive a registration fee waiver. We welcome you to complete the form(s) yourself, or share them with others who might be interested!

ACCESSIBILITY RESOURCES
Please check out our Accessibility page<https://www.2025slaconference.org/accessibility> for suggestions on crafting accessible presentations as well as information about the venue.
We look forward to welcoming you to the University of Chicago in May!
Sincerely,
Josh & Dominika, on behalf of the Program Committee
