Join a virtual open house for the CUNY Graduate Center's four-field Ph.D. Program in Anthropology!

We invite applications from prospective students across all four subfields of anthropology (archaeological, biological, linguistic, and sociocultural). We are an intellectually vibrant and collegial program comprised of faculty and students working on a wide range of topics and geographical regions.

We plan to offer admission and competitive fellowships to a full cohort of 18 students, to begin in Fall 2026. Applications in archaeological, linguistic, and sociocultural anthropology are due December 1, 2025; biological anthropology applications are due December 15, 2025.
