Dear colleagues, the Journal of Linguistic Anthropology is looking for a new book review editor! The book review editor is responsible for identifying books for review, finding reviewers, working with reviewers to edit reviews, and submitting book reviews for publication. Book review editors are also expected to attend editorial team meetings and editorial board meetings (generally via zoom). The position is a 3-year term from January 2026-December 2028.
This is a great way to get involved in an editorial role in the journal and to keep your finger on the pulse of recent publications in linguistic anthropology! If you are interested in being book review editor or in nominating someone else for the position, please reply to current book review editor Sarah HIllewaert (s.hillewaert at utoronto.ca<mailto:s.hillewaert at utoronto.ca>) and EIC Anna Babel (babel.6 at osu.edu<mailto:babel.6 at osu.edu>). Please include a paragraph on why you think you or the person you are nominating would be a good fit for this role, and if you are writing on your own behalf, a current CV.
Thanks to all for your continued service to the journal!
