**Apologies for cross-posting**

The Journal of Black Language and Culture (JBLAC) – published by the Linguistic Society of America and Cambridge University Press – invites article submissions and expressions of interests from scholars who would like to serve as manuscript reviewers.

#1
If you are interested in submitting an article, information about the journal, including scope and publication types, can be found here: https://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/journal-of-black-language-and-culture

#2
To add yourself to the reviewer pool, please email your information and materials to jblac at lsadc.org<mailto:jblac at lsadc.org> or submit them using this Google Form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfzMnq1zu4TgqHzthIS0uNTZ270lUC_u72rCd7cPf_gOrQePg/viewform

You should submit (a) an up-to-date CV and (b) a one-page statement describing your research, describing how your interests align with the journal's scope and values, and providing 5-10 keywords for research topics you’re especially interested in reviewing. A more detailed call for reviewers is attached. Expressions of interest can be submitted at any time.

Please email jblac at lsadc.org<mailto:jblac at lsadc.org> with any questions about either of these opportunities.

Additionally, the LSA Special Interest Group of Black Language and Culture (SOBLAC) has announced Travel Awards to support active SOBLAC student members in their travel to the Linguistic Society of America Annual Meeting in 2027. Preference will be given to members who have submitted to JBLAC or are presenting work they plan to submit to JBLAC. More information about the award, timeline, and the submission site can be found here: https://www.lsadc.org/content.asp?contentid=518. Nominations for the award close on July 15, 2026.

Please share with colleagues and students who may be interested!
