[Linganth] AAA Submission Updates

Dear colleagues,

By now you should have received an update from the AAA regarding submission information<https://annualmeeting.americananthro.org/submit/> for the upcoming Annual Meeting — “On the Verge<https://annualmeeting.americananthro.org>” — to be held from 18-22 November in St. Louis.

Please note that this year the AAA has done away with multiple submission rounds, and is implementing a single, association-wide unified call for submissions. This means that all presentation types — be they individual papers, oral presentation sessions, discussions, workshops, installations, coordinated section special events, etc. — are to be submitted under one unified process with the same submission deadline of April 29 11:59PM EST.

Thank you to those of you who have expressed interest in serving on this year’s ad hoc Program Review Committee, whose task is to review SLA-related submissions and select “Invited” (formerly “Executive”) panels. We’re still hoping to recruit additional members, especially graduate students, post-docs, and practicing anthropologists. Do please write me if you’re interested!
