[Lingtyp] Syncretism between forms encoding source and agent

Thank you all for answers, references as well as illuminating discussions.
I'll be sure to follow them.

Apologies for my careless choice of terminology ("syncretism"). The point
brought up by Dr. Haspelmath and others (now in a separate e-mail thread on
"co-expression") is indeed important.
