[Lingtyp] CfP "Model and Evidence in Quantitative Comparative Linguistics"

Dear colleagues,

as part of the next annual meeting of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für
Sprachwissenschaft, we will organize a workshop on "Model and Evidence
in Quantitative Comparative Linguistics" and we cordially invite
submissions for 20-minute oral presentations.

The purpose of the workshop is to provide a forum on methodological
discussion. It will focus on:

  * approaches to /model validation/ and /model comparison/ in
    statistical work on comparative linguistic
  * /standards/ for data formats, /data accessibility/, and /data
    sharing/, and//
  * /best practices/ for code sharing and code accessibility within an
    open science framework.

The deadline for the call is 31st of August 2020, and we have a limited
number of travel grants available upon request.
