Dear typologists,

I have tried to design a methodology called “profile-based analysis” for detecting linguistic areas.
Please find attached an abstract describing a preliminary analysis based on this methodology, which is to be submitted to a conference.
My doctoral advisor suggested that I look for previous studies that may have adopted a similar methodology.
I would much appreciate it if you could point to previous studies whose methodology may be similar to what I propose in the abstract.

From Hong Kong,
Ian
