Dear all,
I am looking for a counterexample/or near-counterexample to the following
generalization:
- There is no language in which genders/noun classes* are motivated by the
color of the object (i.e. no "white entities" gender etc.)
I am primarily concerned with genders/noun classes in Corbett's sense, i.e.
they have to trigger agreement, but I would be grateful for any related
pointers/works.
Best regards,
