Dear Christian,
some people might have a communication preference to not be referred to 
by "he".
You have a preference of not being reminded of these preferences of 
theirs (unless I have misread your message).

Since you request that other people adapt to your preferences, it would 
sound only fair that other people should be allowed the possibility to 
make similar requests.

So, I would request that people on this list try to create a 
constructive and inclusive atmosphere and not insist on the fact that 
"he" is a good pronoun to refer to any researcher.

This is a request of mine. It is up to you whether you think it is an 
acceptable request in content and form, but please understand that I 
will not discuss its merits with you. If you decide that you do not want 
to follow it, so be it.
