[Lingtyp] Intuitions about inclusive time reference

Dear Östen,
for Russian, the present imperfective seems to be the most natural choice,
as in (1):
(1) *Маша подаёт сегодня заявку на грант.*
However, depending on the exact discourse situation, other variants are
available as well. For example, if I am wondering whether Mary has already
submitted or not, I would rather use (2):
(2) *Маша собиралась подать сегодня заявку на грант. (Интересно, подала ли
она её уже?)*,
with a sort of past prospective construction.
