Asst. Prof., ETHNOGRAPHIC DISCOURSE ANALYSIS. Joint appt. w/Ling.
Dept. & new MA program in Communication, Culture, & Technology.
Tenure-track. Research & teaching interests should be some combination
of: cross-cultural communication, interactional sociolinguistics,
computer-mediated discourse, ethnography of communication, language
and gender. Should be qualified to teach Introduction to Linguistics.
Internet literary very desirable. PhD prior to appointment,
publications and evidence of superior teaching and writing ability

Asst. Prof. of Slavic linguistics.  Entry-level position to begin Sept.
1996 to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels, four courses per year
and tutorial work.  Prefer specialization in modern generative approaches
to Slavic grammar, but breadth of interest in Slavic studies is
desirable. Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) and native or near-native
Russian and English are required. Teaching experience is highly
desirable. Five-year ladder appointment, possibly extendible for an
additional 3-year term as associate professor (non-tenured).  Send letter
