We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

For a student of mine, I am seeking references to monographs or
articles on Bulu language of Cameroon; both linguistic and pedagogical
works would be welcome. Further, she needs the publication
information for a pedagogical text called Bulu Handbook (copy lacks
title page). Replies to me, please:

Subject: Seeking Swedish Translator
Linguists,
I am looking for someone who can translate some Swedish letters that
were written circa 1900. My Grandmother found them recently in
a box and they were written by her late husband (a Swedish immigrant).
The Swedish may or may not be like modern Swedish, I really can't say.
She is willing to pay a normal fee for these translations.
Being a Spanish linguistic grad student myself, I know that there
maybe a grad student (or a professor) who maybe interested in
undertaking such a project.
Please contact me directly at my e-mail address given below.
Thank you in advance.

Computer Aided Syntax Education
Does anyone know of, or have experience with, software packages
that can be used for computer aided syntax education? That is,
tools which help students to bring into practice the theory of
constituent analysis as described in modern grammars.
I am especially interested in tools for English, but information
on syntax software for other languages would also be welcome.
