Subject:  the lore and language of schoolchildren
 
 
I'm looking for more information about the lore and language of
schoolchildren.  The message I sent on the linguist discussion a few
weeks ago was to finish my corpus. But now it is done. By the way I
would like to have some book references that could help me in my
linguistic analysis of that corpus (it is made of tongue-twisters,
riddles, nursery rhymes, spoonorism,...).  I also think I could study
the psychology aspect of that topic, I mean for example the "medical"
use of this language, and the linguistic problems these kind of word
games stress.i would also appreciate any book references about the use
and the role of these word games in different societies.

My name is Ericka Contreras, I am from Mexico City and I am doing a
research about Event-related brain potentials during semantic
categorization in dementia patients. My main goal is to know if the
N400 is preserved in these patients. There are some data with reaction
times but I know nothing about ERPs or similar measures. If anyone
could send me some information about that I will be greatfull. I am
studying for being a Psychologist.

I'm beginning some work on the application of cognitive linguistics to
literature, and I would appreciate any pointers to good examples of
this.  I am familiar with Lakoff and Turner's More Than Cool Reason,
and Turner's Reading Minds.
