SEMANTICS and LINGUISTIC THEORY

SALT VII invites submissions for 30-minute presentations (with 10
additional minutes for discussion) on any topic in the semantic
analysis of natural language emphasizing the connection to linguistic
theory. Authors should submit 10 copies of abstracts (one with name
and affiliation), no more than 2 pages (1000) words long. Authors'
names, addresses, affiliations, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and
paper titles should accompany the abstracts on a 3x5 card. No Fax or
E-mail submissions will be accepted.
Abstract deadline: November 22, 1996

Papers for presentations of fifteen to twenty minutes are
invited from (1) those who teach courses in cognitive
linguistics, (2) those who employ concepts of cognitive
linguistics in the teaching of other courses, and (3) those who
would like to develop such courses at their institutions.
Abstracts of approximately 200 words will be accepted
(preferably by e-mail) until November 15, 1996.

Abstracts are invited in all areas of the teaching of
cognitive linguistics--theory, practice, applications of
cognitive linguistics to other courses, individual projects--for
15-minute or 20-minute presentations.
FORMAT:
Abstract page. Abstracts, including full title, should be no
longer than 200 words. The author's name should not appear on
this page.
Cover page. Include full title of the submission, and author's
name, affiliation, address, e-mail, fax and telephone numbers.
Submission instructions:
Send (1) an e-mail message in ASCII of the abstract page (without
the author's name) plus (2) a separate e-mail message containing
the cover page (including the full title, as it appeared on the
abstract, this time with the author's name).
