JOB OPENING IN LINGUISTICS
Stanford University, beginning Fall 1997
The Department of Linguistics at Stanford University solicits
applications for a tenure-track appointment in Linguistics at the rank
of Assistant Professor beginning September 1, 1997. Applicants should
have a research and teaching specialization in the area of semantics
and pragmatics. Applicants' theoretical interests should complement
and interact with research of the current faculty and contribute to
intellectual breadth in other areas of departmental concern.
Applicants with demonstrated excellence in teaching, especially at the
undergraduate level, will be preferred.

letters of recommendation, and a statement of research interests to:
