Subject:  Language revitalization, churches and religion

	Question: can anyone help us by telling us of bibliography,
on-going projects, or other work involving LANGUAGE REVITALIZATION,
CHURCHES, AND RELIGION?
	I'm writing on behalf of Rangi Nicholson, a colleague in the
Maori Studies department who is writing a linguistics thesis on
language revitalization.  It turns out that the church and religion
play a very significant role in Maori language revitalization in New
Zealand, and Rangi needs to compare the role played here with
information regarding any related cases elsewhere in the world.

Here are two German slips of the tongue that I heard recently

Wissen Sie noch ob Herr Krampe da ist?
Know you still if Mr. Krampe there is

Lit.: Do you still know whether Mr. Krampe is there?

Intended: Do you know whether Mr. Krampe is still there

Sie sind doch immer der Mann der aus Hamburg anruft
you are ptc. always the man who out Hamburg calls

Lit: you are the man always who calls from Hamburg

Intended: You are the man who always calls from Hamburg

Has anybody written anything about these adverb misplacements?
