Position Announcement
September 2000

Assistant Professor/ Instructor, Bilingual/ESL Program. The Department
of Languages and Cultures at William Paterson University has a
one-year, full-time position for an Assistant Professor or Instructor
in the Bilingual/ESL program beginning September 2000.  The major
responsibilities of the position will be to teach graduate courses in
Methods, Materials and Assessment in TESOL, Contrastive Linguistics,
Bilingual Education in Content Areas, and other undergraduate and
graduate courses as needed, to assist in coordinating
community-outreach initiatives with local school districts, and to
advise students. Qualifications include: earned doctorate (or ABD for
instructor) in Applied Linguistics or a related area.  Ability to
teach a basic foreign language (Spanish preferred) courses. Teaching
experience in ESL, Foreign Language, and/or Bilingual Education.
