The LINGUIST List strongly encourages employers to use
non-discriminatory standards in hiring policy. In particular we urge
that employers do not discriminate on the grounds of race, ethnicity,
nationality, age, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. However, we
have no means of enforcing these standards.
Job seekers should pay special attention to language in ads regarding
employment requirements and are encouraged to consult our international
employment page http://linguistlist.org/jobnet.html.
This page has been set up so that people can report on the employment
standards of various countries.

Job Description
We are currently looking for individuals with a love of language for
entry-level positions in a team-oriented setting. The job involves
working with a web-based interface to enhance and modify an electronic
lexical database. We are seeking applicants with a B.A./B.S. in
linguistics (or comparable background); a higher degree (M.A. or
Ph.D.) is a plus. Qualified persons will have a solid understanding of
English grammar - including the ability to categorize words (part of
speech) and identify their functions - as well as an excellent
vocabulary. Familiarity with Princeton University's WordNet project is
a plus. Experience with information or computer science is desirable.
Qualified candidates please send a resume and cover letter to
languagelover at answerlogic.com. Applications without a detailed cover
letter will not be considered. I am not sure of the details (pricing,
posting duration, etc.) but I would like to post these positions. We
currently have 2 openings. Please call me so we can discuss the
details. thanks.
