Subject: XIII International Meeting of ALFAL
The XIII International Meeting of ALFAL (Asociacion de Linguistica y
Filologia de America Latina) will be held in San Jose de Costa Rica,
February 18-23, 2002.
The official languages of ALFAL are Spanish and Portuguese.
The following is a brief description of the association:
"Los objetivos de la Asociacion de Linguistica y Filologia de America
Latina (ALFAL) son los siguientes: fomentar el progreso tanto de la
linguistica teorica y aplicada como de la filologia en America Latina
-especialmente la linguistica general, la linguistica indigena y la
linguistica y filologia hispanica y portuguesa- asi como la teoria y
critica literarias."
