The employment is advertised on condition that the funds required are
available.
Eligibility: The eligibility criteria for employment as full professor
are both scholarly competence and teaching skill. Applicants should
also possess the capabilities otherwise needed properly to carry out
the duties involved. Applicants for a professorship shall have
demonstrated, on the one hand, scholarly competence in the form of
independent research that significantly exceeds that required for the
title of 'docent' (associate professor) and, on the other hand, the
teaching skill required for the position and, furthermore, unless
there are special reasons to the contrary, to have completed teacher
training courses relevant to university conditions.
To be eligible for this professorship applicants are required to
possess scholarly competence in Turkish as well as in one other Turkic
language. Teaching proficiency in the various sectors of the field
should be proven.
