==========================================================================
The LINGUIST List strongly encourages employers to use
non-discriminatory standards in hiring policy. In particular we urge
that employers do not discriminate on the grounds of race, ethnicity,
nationality, age, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. However, we
have no means of enforcing these standards.
Job seekers should pay special attention to language in ads regarding
employment requirements and are encouraged to consult our international
employment page http://linguistlist.org/jobnet.html.
This page has been set up so that people can report on the employment
standards of various countries.

Research Post in Psycholinguistics at Edinburgh University
The psycholinguistics group at the University of Edinburgh seeks a
researcher, initially to work on a 12 month research project. This
project "The coordination of self-interruption and self-repair in
speech" is funded by the ESRC and awarded to Robert Hartsuiker and
Martin Pickering. The post will be available at the RA1B (BP
17,451-19,486 p.a.) or RA1A (BP 17,451-26,229 p.a.) scale.
The successful candidate will set up, run, and analyse computer-based
experiments involving picture naming that are designed to elicit
self-repair. Candidates should have experience conducting research in

advantage, but other well-qualified candidates are encouraged to
apply.
