Temporary Linguistics Lecturer at Mary Washington College

The English, Linguistics, and Speech Department at MWC seeks a
full-time, one-semester linguist with expertise in sociolinguistics
for Fall 2001.  The applicant is expected to teach the following four
courses:

2 sections of Linguistics 101:  Introduction to General Linguistics
1 section of Linguistics 202:  Cross-Cultural Communication
1 section of Linguistics 302: Introduction to Sociolinguistics and
Anthropological Linguistics

The department will consider part-time positions if one person who can
teach all the above courses cannot be found.

Candidates should have at least a master's degree and doctoral
coursework in Linguistics; ABD or Ph.D. preferred. Interested
candidates should send immediately: (1) a cover letter; (2) a CV; and
(3) a list of graduate courses taken to Prof. Bill Kemp, Chair,
Department of English, Linguistics, and Speech. Electronic submissions
