The Surrey Morphology Group at the University of Surrey announces the
availability of two new online databases on morphological typology,
available at < http://www.smg.surrey.ac.uk >:
1. The Surrey Syncretisms Database contains information on
inflectional syncretism in all word classes in 30 genetically and
geographically diverse languages, representing such morphosyntactic
features as case, person, number and gender.
2. The Surrey Person Syncretism Database contains information on
syncretism of subject person on verbs in 111 genetically and
geographically diverse languages.
Both databases allow searching along a number of parameters, and
contain links to example paradigms.
