The World Languages & Literatures at California State Univeristy, San
Marcos has an opening for an adjunct/lecturer in Spanish linguistics
for the academic year 2002-3003, with the possibility of renewal. The
candidate will be expected to be able to teach upper-division courses
in Spanish linguistics, as well as basic Spanish courses. Required:
Ph.D or ABD in Spanish/Linguistics with an area of emphasis in
Hispanic Linguistics; near-native written and oral proficiency in
Spanish. A strong preference will be given to candidates with
experience in Applied Linguistics and communicative language teaching,
demonstrated excellence in language teaching, and experience with
students from diverse backgrounds. Salary will be commensurate with
experience.
