Description:
The Department of Asian Studies invites applications for a
tenure-track position in Trans-Cultural Asian Studies, with
specialization in one or more of the following: literature, historical
linguistics, or cultural history of China and a related Southeast
Asian society, beginning August 2003. Competence in Chinese and at
least one Southeast Asian language is desirable. Ph.D. required at
time of appointment. Review of applications will begin January 15,
