Larry Trask's magnificent demolition of the PNAS article on the date
of Celtic branching (Linguist 14.1876) alludes to the work of Ringe et
al. The one official publication by that group of which I am aware
(not counting reports in the New York Times and working papers and
such) is "Computational Cladistics and the Position of Tocharian,"
pp. 391-414 in V. H. Mair, ed., The Bronze Age and Early Iron Age
Peoples of Eastern Central Asia (JIES Monograph 26, 1998). In my
review article on that volume (Sino-Platonic Papers 98 [Jan. 2000]:
4-46), at pp. 17-21, I show that some of the same methodological
errors he found in the more recent work also appeared in the earlier
material. - Peter T. Daniels grammatim at att.net
