Lecturer in Linguistics (Fixed-term)
£22,191 pa, pro rata
The successful applicant will be required to provide undergraduate
teaching for the level three module on Semantics, Pragmatics and
Discourse, contribute to teaching on the BA course in English Language
and Literature, and provide training in research methods for MA
students. There may be opportunities to undertake teaching in your own
specialist area. Applicants should have a good honours degree in an
appropriate subject and be in the process of completing a PhD.
Experience of undergraduate teaching and sound knowledge of aspects of
semantics, pragmatics and discourse are essential. This post is
available for 4 months from late September 2004 to late January 2005
to cover a period of AHRB-funded study leave.
