We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.
In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.

Subject: Speech Recognition Tools Recognition Rates
Can anyone direct me to publications detailing the recognition rates of
speech recognition tools? Specifically, reports of tests or publications,
or government reports which detail how the different commerical and academic
products and tools perform on a set list of speech recognition tasks.
Ideally, I'd like to see things done by independent groups similar to
an ''underwriters laboratory'' of speech recognition tools.

I am currently working on my master´s thesis focusing on borrowed English
terms in Ghanaian languages (specifically Ga). I would be glad if anyone
could give me hints on helpful literature and materials on this topic
Thanks!
