Description:
Swarthmore College has a one-semester position, with possibility of it becoming
full-year, at the rank of Assistant Professor, starting in fall, 2006. We are a
small liberal-arts college outside of Philadelphia, with top-notch students.
This is a leave-replacement position and the person we hire must be able to
teach all levels of syntax. All other things being equal, preference will be
given to those with successful teaching experience and a research area that
complements those of our present faculty. Ability to teach semantics is a plus.
Candidates must have the Ph.D. in hand by June, 2006. Please send

(3) teaching evaluations if available,
(4) a one-page statement describing past and present research and plans for
future research,
(5) up to three publications
