projet Phonologie du français contemporain (PFC) dirigé par Jacques Durand,
Bernard Laks et Chantal Lyche (voir http://www.projet-pfc.net/ ).

Dans la lignée des travaux du Centre de recherche VALIBEL qui accueille le
colloque, nous proposons d'orienter la réflexion des participants autour de
trois thématiques liées à l'étude sociolinguistique de la variation de la
prononciation du français. 

Call for papers:

Participants who would like to give a paper are kindly asked to submit an
abstract of 250-350 words by 15 January 2006, using the template below
which can be copied and returned as a Word- or rtf-file to dr. Marijke van
der Wal (m.j.van.der.wal at let.leidenuniv.nl) as well as to professor Peter
Schmitter (schmipe at uni-muenster.de).

Meeting Description:

The XVIIIth International Colloquium of the 'Studienkreis Geschichte der
Sprachwissenschaft (SGdS)' is mainly devoted to questions concerning the
'Historiography of Linguistics in the 21th Century: Challenges and
Perspectives', but contributions focusing on other topics within the framework
of the history of linguistics are also welcome. Presentations will last 30
minutes, followed by 15 minutes of discussion. The conference languages are
English and German. Members of the organizing committee are: Els Elffers
(Amsterdam), Jan Noordegraaf (Amsterdam), Peter Schmitter (Seoul & Muenster),
and Marijke van der Wal (Leiden).
