Description:
The University of Central Florida invites applications for a non-tenured
Instructor in TESOL in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures. This
position will be based at the Daytona Beach campus.
Starting date: August 2006.
Applicants should send a letter of interest expressing their academic and
administrative philosophy, curriculum vitae, transcript(s), and three recent (3
years or less) letters of recommendation.
Duties:
Teach graduate and undergraduate courses (4/4 load) in a dynamic M.A. TESOL
program, including courses such as Applied Linguistics for ESOL, Second Language
Acquisition, TSL Research Methods, ESOL Curriculum, or ESOL Methods.
Required qualifications:
Ph.D. in TESOL or related field. (ABD considered.) Evidence of superior
teaching (ESL and EFL experience preferred) and commitment to traditional as
well as alternative instructional delivery methods (e.g., web-based).
Competitive salary and benefits.
