Lecturer A/B in English Language
Department of Linguistics and English Language
In the region of: £24,352 - £36,959 p.a.
Candidates must have or be very close to finishing a Ph.D. in English
Historical Linguistics or English Language, be research-active with a
relevant publication record, and have an interest in pursuing collaborative
research in their area of expertise and in accordance with the profile of
LAEL. Candidates must be prepared to teach at undergraduate and
postgraduate levels, supervise M.A. and Ph.D. students and play a leading
role in fostering English Language-based research within the university.
Expertise in some aspects of pragmatics or willingness to develop such
expertise is highly desirable.
The post is available from 1st September 2006 till 31st July 2009.
